Beschreibung:	6th International Konstanz Symposium on Moral Competence Mehrtägige Veranstaltung: 26.July 2012 - 27.July 2012 SYMPOSIUM As the current movement for more democracy all over the world show, the moral idea of democracy is very vivid. Regardless of nation, culture and religion, people all over the world desire to live in a democratically ruled society and not in a tyranny. These movements, however, also show that it is often easier to get overthrow of a tyranny than to build a democratic society in which (inevitable) conflicts are solved through peaceful, rational discussion rather than by violence and power. For a truly democratic society we need not only to change the political and legal institutions of government, but also, and foremost, to foster the moral-democratic competence in all citizens.
